Foundation Information
The Behavioral Medicine Research and Training Foundation (www.biofeedbacktraining.org) is a non-profit scientific and educational organization that has been supporting distance-based continuing education in many aspects of behavioral medicine since its creation in 2000.
The Foundation supports continuing education of professionals interested in areas including optimal functioning, coaching, education, and clinical work, including clinicians from all health care fields such as: medicine, nursing, psychology and counseling, physical and occupational therapy, and social work in order to assist these professionals in incorporating behavioral medicine techniques into their practices.
The courses provided by the foundation cover biofeedback, neurofeedback, heart rate variability, optimal functioning, and many other areas of behavioral medicine. Scholarships are available to graduate students and professionals from developing nations. Most areas of study include several levels of coursework ranging from basic introductions through academic level CEs courses.
The academic level CE courses are accredited by organizations such as the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA). The Behavioral Medicine Research and Training Foundation is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Behavioral Medicine R&T Foundation maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

All courses are taught by distinguished professionals within the behavioral medicine field. Additionally students evaluate each course and professor for quality assurance. The programs have been evaluated for quality by national and state level organizations such as the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance. The Behavioral Medicine Research and Training Foundation is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The Foundation maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

Consultations
The Foundation provides consultation to clinicians on performing psychophysiologically based assessments and interventions. Our team of highly experienced experts can guide you in incorporating psychophysiological techniques into your practice and help you handle the most difficult patients. We also provide consultation to clinicians and students on research design and performance in psychophysiology. We will even loan you equipment to help get your research going.
Hands-On Training
We can conduct mentoring and training for people anywhere in the world because we use programs which show us what trainees’ computers are doing as they conduct assessments and interventions and can listen to the session through voice over internet protocols such as SKYPE.
